Friends and family of Jason Chapel:

Sundays during the month of February have been busy mornings with a lot of moving parts. This past week was no different. With information concerning annual elections, The Beyond Project, and Pastor/Church relationship announcement, I completely forgot to introduce Michelle Worcester for her to speak to us about Alabaster. I sincerely apologize, and I am embarrassed.  This Sunday, February 23rd in the opening phases of service we will be collecting our Alabaster offering. Bring your blue boxes or jars filled with spare change. You are invited to give your change to the kids or you can join the parade yourself as we fill our Alabaster church.
Thank you to Joe Greene for representing the church board and reading the letter from the District Superintendent concerning the unanimous approval for the current pastor/church relationship to continue.  I have said it since my arrival, I love thinking and dreaming about Jason Chapel and what it could be for thi…

Congratulations to Daniel “Boone” Davis, on joining us in membership this past Sunday. Boone is a quiet force. He moves in a calm way and jumps in to help when and where needed.  If you don’t know him already, I highly recommend spending time with him and his wife Chloe.

However, late in the week a family member of Stephanie’s fell, they were not sure she would be able to attend the dedication and we wouldn’t want to do it without her. We simply postponed the baby dedication to this upcoming Sunday.

Ballots will be placed in Adult Sunday School Classrooms and can also be found in the Sanctuary Foyer (…

Due to an unforeseen scheduling change, I was not able to get last week’s letter out or be a part of Wednesday evening services. For the first time in my ministry career, I had to call out on the day of a regularly scheduled service. Thank you to Michelle Greene, Eran Davis, and Cheri Eaton for taking care of the facilities and the unlocking and locking of doors. Jennifer is doing better and has returned to work (on light duty status).  Those in her office are taking wonderful care of her. I am glad.
Congratulations to Ray Denney on joining us in church membership Sunday January 26, 2020. I have had multiple people talk to me about the way in which we processed the morning. I also thought it was a sweet moment in the life of the church. I look forward to our relationship growing.
Over the last few months our icemaker has been acting stubborn to say the least. Most times the ice chest would be found empty and a warning light would be found blinking. I…
